CARE, The Community Alliance for Respect and Equality, is a non-profit organization which has been in existence since 1994. It was was founded by a diverse group of local citizens and convened initially by Douglas Sturm, retired Bucknell professor of religion and politics.
We have served numerous people in the greater Lewisburg, Pennsylvania region and we strive to increase awareness of and respect for people of all races, ethnicity, gender, religions and sexual orientation through our workshops, programs, festivals and newsletters.
CARE is a partner with the CommUnity Zone and shares space with them at 417 Market Street next to the Campus Theatre in Lewisburg, PA
